African Mango, also known as irvingia gabonesis, is a plant and it’s mostly used as a supplement (derived from the seeds of the plant). The African mango is popular for it’s aid in weight loss and has been for many years which is why it’s a key supplement for dieters. As well as that, African mango is also used to treat those with high cholesterol levels and diabetes (both of which are linked back to weight loss and obesity) and as a form of promoting a healthier gut.
Researchers suggest that the seeds from the African mango fruit might aid in lowering cholesterol levels because of their high fiber content. The fiber from the fruit increases removal of cholesterol from the body and in turn helps to bring it back to a normal, functioning level. Some research also suggests that the seeds might also affect fat cells and could potientally reduce fat cell growth and increase the breakdown of fats.
